Artist Grants for Beginners with Nicole Turner

Getting funding for your creative work doesn’t have to feel impossible. This class breaks the process into clear, doable steps so you can confidently go after opportunities that fit your art practice. There will be time for questions and hands-on activities so you feel confident. BONUS: After class you will get a document filled with artist grant opportunities!

In this class, you’ll learn how to:

Craft an artist statement you can drop into applications, emails, and intros.

Understand what “grants” really include: (they’re often called other things!) and where to find them.

Decode grant vocab so you know exactly what you’re signing up for.

Set up simple tracking systems: for deadlines, requirements, and documentation that builds your credibility.

Adopt a resilient mindset: why long shots are worth it, how to handle rejection, and how networking opens doors.

Who it’s for: Artists at the beginning of their grant journey (all mediums welcome, no prior grant writing experience needed).
